On February 28, 2018, we held the 2018 commencement ceremony and the Lantern Festival in the multi-function room of Victoria Kindergarten.
The first performance was "Panama" by the lovely teachers of K2. The spectacular show was warmly received.
The host introduced the origin of the Lantern Festival, and let us gain a new understanding of the holiday.
The dance "dragon" was then performed by our K3A and K3B classes. We thank the students for their passionate performance.
Then came a very interesting riddle game. Everyone got actively involved trying to answer the Chinese and English questions.
Our English teachers also put on a great show.
All the teachers and students stood up together to sing our school song.
Principal Denise gave a great speech, wishing our students a happy and pleasant new year and a healthy development. After her, a policeman came to give a speech, and gave us some guidance on safety awareness.
In the following interactive segment, hosts went around to ask students what their wishes and hopes are for the new year. What are your new year's wishes? The children vied for a chance to share their New Year wish.
Lastly, students returned to their classrooms for class activities. K1 organized a sweet dumpling activity with clay. The children worked hard to be the best. K2 organized a lantern ceremony. And K3 also made sweet dumplings with sticky rice.
This was a very meaningful commencement ceremony. We wish our children happiness, and our teachers will also strive to care for them.
